Endurance Lending Overview
Endurance Lending Network is an online lending platform that connects small businesses looking for $25k to $500K of capital with funds from individual lenders.
One of America’s greatest economic problems is the financial environment revolving around loans to small businesses. Traditional lending institutions such as banks and alternate lenders don’t effectively serve businesses looking for loans, demanding high interest rates or stringent qualification requirements.
At the same time, in the wake of the global financial crisis, investors are searching for asset classes that generate high returns while minimizing the risk of default. Endurance was founded with the mission of addressing these two problems by connecting investors with small businesses to the benefit of both.
Endurance’s website is accessible at www.enduranceln.com and allows businesses to sign up to borrow and investors to sign up to lend automatically.
Our target borrower is any small business looking for $25k to $500k in capital. We pride ourselves on being much easier to work with than banks, and are willing to work with borrowers who have been turned away elsewhere. We can only provide loans to businesses in the US for now.

Sam Hodges, Co-Founder
Sam most recently served as VP of Business Development for SecondMarket, the largest marketplace for alternative investments; there, Sam was responsible for corporate and business development activities, helped launch the company’s private company marketplace, and managed the company’s geographic expansion efforts. Sam currently serves on the boards of two private companies, including WorkingPoint, an online financial software company for small businesses. Prior to SecondMarket, Sam was part of the investment team at Pequot Capital, an $8Bn global fund manager, where he covered investments in financial technology and information services. He started his career as a strategy consultant at Katzenbach Partners, where he advised financial services and technology companies. Sam received his MBA and MS from Stanford University and graduated magna cum laude from Brown University.
N. Alex Tonelli, Co-Founder
Alex has run several successful businesses through a holding company, notably including a franchise chain which inspired ELN. Previously, he was an investor at Summit Partners (where he worked in Specialty Lending, Fin Tech Marketplaces, and Credit) and Hasso Plattner Ventures (which appointed him CEO of a 90 EE portfolio company). He has also spent time with Seneca Capital, Citigroup IBD, and the US Embassy in Paris. Alex received a MBA from Stanford University and an AB, cum laude, from Dartmouth College.
John Arens, General Counsel and Director, Operations
John has spent 15 years in senior management positions. Most recently, he was Legal Director and CCO for Liquidity Realty Partners. Previously, he was at Redwood Trust, a publicly traded mortgage REIT specializing in the investment in and the securitization of real estate loans, and Managing Director at Dorado. John received a JD and BBA from the University of San Diego.
Eric Greene, Architect and Engineering Advisor
With over twenty years of technical leadership experience across a variety of industries, Eric has been instrumental in developing many mission critical technical solutions that process millions of transactions, and many more millions of dollars on a daily basis. Most recently at Wells Fargo, he lead the design or development of Alerts, OFX (Quicken), Trust, Desktop Deposit, Bill Pay and Online Transfers. Prior to this, Eric was the Director of Development at Credit.com. He received a BA in Physics from UC Berkeley.
Albert Periu, Director, Business Development
Albert was most recently a Director of Institutional Sales at Telsey Advisory Group, a boutique research and brokerage firm. Previously, he spent six years as a Vice President at FBR Capital Markets in Institutional Sales covering hedge funds, family offices and asset managers. Additionally, Albert was an associate at Merrill Lynch Capital on the leveraged lending team after starting his career at Deutsche Bank’s Investment Bank. He received a BSBA in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University.
Mike Rabil Director, Partnerships
Mike focuses primarily on franchise partnerships, an area of deep interest as he also manages a portfolio of franchise investments. He was previously at Jones Lang LaSalle, the largest global commercial real estate services firm. Mike received an AB from Dartmouth College, where he was Captain of the Football team.
Rohit Sharma, Director, Product
Over his career, Rohit has launched a multitude of enterprise products in the computer hardware and financial services space. He most recently was Director of Product at Dun and Bradstreet where he was responsible for their multimillion dollar API product line. Prior to D&B, Rohit was at Dell Inc where he held multiple roles in engineering and product development. He received an MS in Computer Science from NC State and an MBA from the University of Texas in Austin.
Nik Milanovic, Business Development & Marketing
Nik most recently managed Strategy and Operations for the travel startup Tripflavor. Before that, he was a Business Development Associate at Westward Leaning. He received a BA from Stanford University.
Christian Henze, Credit Analyst
Christian recently worked as a Financial Consultant for a start-up sports beverage company. Prior to that, he spent two years working as a Program Director at StreetSquash, a non-profit organization in Harlem, New York. He graduated with a BA from Williams College, where he was captain of the squash team.
